Tough sanctions for violations of university parie tal, alcohol and drug regulations a re called for in the SLC’s Ad Hoc Com m ittee on D isciplinary M atters. The report tha t is to be presented to today’s Student Life Council m e e tin g . T he re p o r t is in response to a le tte r by Board of T ru s te e s C hw irm an E d m u n d Stepoan which specifically asked for such sanctions. It would establish penalties for infractions of visitation hours ranging from denial of personal parie ta l privileges (m inor) to p ro h ib itio n from re s id in g on cam pus for two sem esters and forfeit of the Security Deposit (m ajor). Violation of alcohol regulations could resu lt in a denial of the right to have alcohol in the hall for a month to disciplinary (Continued on page 5)
